IRVINE, CA—April 8, 2008—MultiFactor Corporation, an innovator in 2-factor authentication, web application security and SSL VPN Authentication solutions today announced the release of SecureAuthID.net – a free version of the fully secured deployment of MultiFactor’s SecurAuth product that issues a re-usable credential for use on federated web sites. SecureAuthID.net leverages MultiFactor’s award winning two factor authentication product, SecureAuth – a tokenless, non-phishable authentication tool.
“Questionable security and user authentication has been a major deterrent for this space. Now SecureAuthID.net and its integration with OpenID, Multifactor enables secure access to just about any application service“ said Craig Lund, chief executive officer of MultiFactor Corporation.
SecureAuthID.net derives its operability from SecureAuth's unique ability capable of abstracting the complexity of bi-directional, mutual authentication of both the client and the server. For federated deployments, such as SAML-based federated systems, Google Apps, OpenID and WCF, the enterprise network simply redirects to an encrypted URL where the SecureAuth solution is front-ending the identity provider. Once authenticated, the SecureAuthID.net solution simply implements the federation assertion token (SAML, OpenID, etc) that is needed for the user to gain access to the “service provider” or application.
“MultiFactor Corporation’s secure authentication product for the enterprise was designed from the onset for integration into federation identity models” states MultiFactor COO, Garret Grajek. SecureAuth is designed to drop into web environments in both the traditional hosting models and in the new Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) models.
