April 13, 2008 (FPRC) -- With physical CD sales diminishing globally, opportunities for upcoming musicians run very thin, as the major labels scrounge to get into the digital markets they once shunned. GRM Records announced today that Teamtalk, a market leader in producing in-store radio stations throughout the United Kingdom, has picked up the upcoming Darren Farris single, "Save Me," for broadcast. Teamtalk's clients include several top national retailers, plus hundreds of pubs, bars and cafés around the UK. Teamtalk Broadcast's flagship in-store radio station, Asda FM Live, was nominated for the Best Digital Network in the annual POPAI awards in 2007. This is a great opportunity for the Los Angeles based singer/songwriter to be heard by thousands of attentive listeners daily throughout the UK.

Farris's current single, "Jenna," has already begun to garner him a much needed industry respect and songwriting notoriety. It is currently the #1 single on the UK's Overplay pop/rock charts, as well as other esteemed charting systems globally. However, Farris says he is not surprised that "Save Me," is prematurely grabbing a lot of the limelight from his current hit, "Jenna."

"After I wrote it [Save Me], I instantly grew attached to the song," says Farris."It is actually the closest thing to a ballad that I have ever written. It made me want to write more [ballads]. If it were physically possible to kiss a song, then I would give that track a big wet one," jokes Farris, as he tries to describe the only ballad, on his new guitar-driven, pop-rocker album, "Psychopathic Issues."

Farris seems to realize that opportunities like this are to be appreciated.

"It's great to know that this music is being embraced outside of our home turf," he explains. "To me as a songwriter, it validates my music, as having a universal message- that these melodies and words can connect to all types of people on a larger scale. We are excited about all the opportunities that broadcasting giants like Teamtalk may open up for our music."

While Britons may enjoy, "Save Me," gracing their ears at the check out, Farris's own native land will have to wait, as the U.S. release of,"Save Me," is not scheduled until winter of 2008.
