April 13, 2008 (FPRC) --
LALATE is coming to Television.

America’s fastest growing celebrity news website, LALATE NEWS (http://lalate.com), has now expanded into international entertainment news broadcasting. LALATE today unveiled a preview of its new celebrity television news program called “The LALATE Minute” .

“The LALATE Minute” (http://news.lalate.com/lalatetv) is a 60 second entertainment news broadcast covering the world of celebrities reported direct from LALATE NEWS headquarters in Los Angeles.

The series preview features singer Chris Brown, movie actor Zac Efron, and reality TV star Kim Kardashian. The news program designed for worldwide viewers will cover celebrities recognized internationally with content written for fans of all ages.

The series is produced by LALATE NEWS - whose parent company TELEVISION INTNERNET was the first company to put television programming on the internet in the late 1990s delivering over 32 hours of internationally award nominated TV programming (“Muscle Beach”, “Sitcom a Sitcom”) - and from the family that delivered over eight decades of America’s most famous television programs including “All in the Family”, “The Carol Burnett Show”, “Maude”, “Sanford and Son”, and the “Jackie Gleason Show”.

LALATE will draw on Television Internet’s international TV distribution background at markets including NATPE, MIP-TV, and LA Screenings.

“The LALATE Minute” also innovates the “format” industry in television. “LALATE has created with “The LALATE Minute” the first ever celebrity news program created as a television format for international distribution” explains LALATE in a statement issued today.

“Normally when you talk about television “formats” being sold you refer to reality shows or game shows. LALATE expects to be the biggest developer of TV formats for celebrity news programming, having already delivered the most popular shows in American TV history. In just seven months LALATE has skyrocketed, establishing an enormous fan base in the U.S., and internationally, as the hottest new brand for celebrity news reporting. Now finally we can parlay our popularity online into television programming for our incredible fans worldwide.”

The hosted “LALATE MINUTE” follows LALATE’s hit current running non hosted celebrity news show “LALATE HOT 10”, the first ever weekly show ranking celebrities’ online popularity based upon statistical data.

Through early March, LALATE was the ranked in the top 6,000 of American wesbites and the top 10 trafficated celebrity news site, more read online than websites of 90% of U.S. local news stations.
