The game is free to play and all the fans have to do is login or register to start playing. The site can be accessed at – http://www.indianfantasyleague.com
Registration for the Indian Fantasy League is completely free and open to everyone. IndianFantasyLeague.com gives fans the option of selecting, building and managing a team of 16 cricketers that competes against other fantasy teams. Points will be awarded based on the statistics generated by individual players in actual matches. The selected teams' performance in the Twenty20 matches will decide the winners and team managers will be eligible for prizes.
“Ours is a country full of cricket lovers and we always yearn to get to the heart of all action, and Fantasy Cricket is the perfect way to do so!”, says IFL representative Mr. Prashant Sethi. “The main aim of the site is to give fans a platform for getting involved with the world of cricket to their heart's content. If you love cricket and often find yourself wishing a particular player or two were in your team to make it stronger, well now is your chance to live the dream! Make your very own team of players and wear the shoes of the team manager. The icing on the cake is that if your team wins, so do you. In short, you get to live out a fantasy, manage a cricket team and are eligible for grand prizes!”, he further informs.
Fans can make changes to their existing team by replacing players, based on how they perform during Twenty20 matches. Although only 1 registration is allowed per e-mail ID, users can create as many accounts as they want with other addresses, a move which increases their chances of winning. “I often found myself grumbling as our team didn't always have the best players. In fact, I have a long list of possible teams which would perform better. Now, thanks to IFL, I am going to live out my fantasy. I have already registered and am eagerly waiting for the matches to start. Cricket was never this exciting!”, says Siddharth, a college student and devoted cricket fan, who is now getting all his friends to register at IndianFantasyLeague.com. “We will split the prize!”, he chirps.
IndianFantasyLeague.com registrations are now open and will continue till the end of the Twenty20 tournament.
