Kama Pres Realizes 24% Sales Growth Within a Year of Implementing Abas ERP
Leading castor and wheel manufacturer sites a dramatic increase in transparency as the single biggest improvement achieved with abas.

May 7, 2008 (FPRC) -- ABAS Software, a leading provider of cost-effective ERP and eBusiness solutions, announces that KAMA Pres of Istanbul, Turkey has realized a 24% growth in year-over-year sales, plus a dramatic increase in company-wide transparency since implementing abas Business Software. Project support was given by software partner BEBIM (Abas-Türkiye).
Before implementing abas Business Software, KAMA Pres was lacking coordination and data unity between business processes. Sales and Manufacturing departments did not work together, and many processes were doubled. This led KAMA to embark on the search for an appropriate ERP system.
Ultimately, the company selected abas because it was impressed by the software’s flexibility. “We felt that abas could be quickly customized during the demonstration phase to meet our needs,” explains Oşin Polat, General Manager of KAMA Pres. “Now, our expectations have been fulfilled.”
The project went live in January 2007. Within a year, revenues jumped 24% and transparency increased considerably. “The biggest improvement of working with abas has been the ability to simultaneously see our company’s profitability. We can get healthy information from abas ERP to make timely decisions on when to increase our product prices,” continues Polat.
“Now our production planning and manufacturing departments can view sales orders as they arrive, and the sales department can determine which orders are currently in progress. We’ve also increased efficiency within our manufacturing department. For instance, if we want to produce a new product we can simulate preliminary costing and get costing details instantly.”
KAMA Pres specializes in the production of castor and wheels for a variety of industry applications, from hospital and lab equipment, kitchen equipment and food industry carriages, to heavy load carriages, textile trolleys and a variety of other transport vehicles carrying light, medium and heavy-duty loads.
