Team Catfish Secret-7 and Blood Spray Win Big
New-comer, Team Catfish tackle, claimed 4 places in the top 10 at Bass Pro Shops’ Big Cat Quest manufactured bait tournament on May 3, 2008.

May 12, 2008 (FPRC) -- Denison, Tex. – Team Catfish tackle’s performance at Bass Pro Shops’ Big Cat Quest manufactured bait tournament on May 3, 2008 made catfishermen across the country stop and take notice. The stage was set at the beautiful Lake Texoma in Denison, TX. Some of the country’s top catfish anglers were in attendance as many of the nation’s top catfishing companies entered their baits into the one day event. Many, many catfish were caught, but when the weigh-in was over, the new Team Catfish tackle had claimed 4 places in the top 10 with the SECRET-7 catfish bait and the DEAD RED BLOOD SPRAY.
Red Grogran finished in first place. He also claimed the big catfish prize with a 10-pound plus blue catfish. His bait was the SECRET-7. Red also used the Team Catfish SNEEK ATTACK sinker slides, DEAD RED dip tubes, and Catfish Grips.
The team of Steve Nelson and Mickey Petree claimed a second place victory. Their bait of choice was the SECRET-7. They also used the SNEEK ATTACK sinker slides, DEAD RED dip tubes, and Catfish Grips.
Third place was Terry (Brother) Terry. His bait was not SECRET-7 but he chose to spray the Team Catfish DEAD RED BLOOD SPRAY on the punchbait he was using. Brother Terry said it made a very noticeable difference in the way the punchbait performed.
In eighth place was the team of Mike Cook and his partner Chris Decker. Mike and Chris were using the SECRET-7, DEAD RED dip tubes, Catfish Grips, SMOOTH OPERATOR snagless sinkers, and the SNEEK ATTACK sinker slides.
Team Catfish founder Jeff Williams was in attendance at the Texas event to get pictures and retrieve information from the tournament anglers that were using the Team Catfish gear. Jeff said, “This was a mighty proud day for Team Catfish Tackle. This was the first manufactured bait tournament that the SECRET-7 catfish bait and the DEAD RED BLOOD SPRAY had been entered into as official products. First, second, third, and eight place victories were outstanding results. We knew we had some great products entered, but the results even surprised us a little!” He continues, “We are looking forward to the next 2 Bass Pro Shops Big Cat Quest manufactured bait tournaments this year at Rend Lake, IL and Dubuque, Iowa. We will be there with all the Team Catfish products for anglers to look at and test.”¯
