World Championships Fitness Competition Attracts Athletes Globally
Toronto will be abuzz of activity as fitness athletes from around the globe flock to the FAME World Championships to be held on June 13-15 at the Metro Toronto Convention Center.

May 14, 2008 (FPRC) -- TORONTO, ON – Professional and amateur athletes, from the United States and around the globe will flock to Toronto, ON Canada for the FAME World Championships competition to be held from June 13th-15th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
The World Championships are coordinated by the WNSO (World Natural Sports Organization) which provides natural, drug free competitions for bodybuilding, fitness, models and figure athletes. FAME athletes are required to achieve their physiques through proper nutrition and exercise.
To qualify for the FAME World Championships athletes have been competing throughout the United States, Canada and Europe and in a series of events known as the FAME World Tour. Approximately 50% of the athletes competing at the World Championships will be from the United States.
Competitive categories include Swimsuit Models, Fitness Models, Muscle Models, Figure, Fit Duo, Fitness and Bodybuilding, as well as cheerleader, gymnast, mixed martial arts, couples and senior citizens events. There are divisions for Physically Challenged athletes, Masters (35+), Grand Masters (50+) and Super Grand Masters (60+).
The WNSO has been holding FAME competitions nationally and internationally for over 10 years. These events attract athletes from all stages and walks of life who are using the goal of competing and setting foot on stage as incentive to reclaim their health, get in shape and start treating their bodies with more respect.
The FAME motto is for athletes to be “Body-Proud”. FAME president Jeffrey Kippel says, “We want people to understand that being Body-Proud is important for happy, healthy living and positive personal growth.”
The FAME World Championships is the largest and most popular WNSO event. In addition to the competition categories this year’s show will include a free Expo and Educational Symposium.
