Knassar Lanches Privatly Developed Web Portal

May 24, 2008 (FPRC) -- The website is meant to become an all in one web portal for all things Faroese. Search Faroese; find Faroese, is the site slogan.
The main features at the moment are the community’s run video gallery and an interactive flash game for puffin hunting. Apart from that, the site offers various type of Faroese specific searches, a news and a blog section. As a web portal the site is still technically a work in progress as more functions and services will be added along at a later time.
Ideally vev.fo is planned to showcase all of Knassar web capabilities while the end user will be given control on which to use and what to see.
Although a private Knassar venture, Vev.fo is a self sustained website trough its online advertising section.
The new website is build using a modular content management system (CMS), codenamed Ivevo by Knassar. This CMS allows the end user to easily manage the website and upgrade it using various other modules that Knassar offers.
The following Ivevo modules were present upon the site launch: Editor, Banner, Blocks, Video, Video Gallery, Blog, RSS, Contact Form, Search, News and Menu manager modules.

Knassar is a new media company specializing in web design and development. The company produced its first website in the year 2000. Vev.fo is their 86th website to date.
