SmartAVI Releases DVI 4x4 Matrix Switch

May 30, 2008 (FPRC) -- Burbank, CA- SmartAVI, Inc. a leader in audio/video and digital signage products is pleased to announce its latest innovation; a DVI 4x4 independent switching matrix. This switch is allows users to select one of four DVI sources to be displayed on four DVI enabled displays.
The DVI 4x4 Router is a 4 input cross matrix switch. This unit permits the switching of four DVI sources to four DVI outputs independently. Because of its DVI interface it supports high quality resolutions up to 1080p and 1920 x 1200.
The DVI 4x4 Router can be controlled three ways; directly from the front panel, with infrared remote control or remotely using the RS232 interface.
The DVI 4X4 Router comes complete with a learning mode that gives it the option to learn the specifications of any monitor connected to it, giving it the ability to emulate a monitor even if none are attached. This allows a computer/server to boot up even without a monitor attached to it.
