Travel agents can also benefit from these incentives, as per the company's offer. "Travel agents can play a crucial role in channelizing business to us. They can make or break any travel industry if they desired so, therefore, we had to keep them in good humor," smiled Hassan. "We are providing them with the same set of offers, as a result, that we should extend to others. This will allow them to lessen their workloads," he opined.
Hassan did admit his portal was facing a great deal of competition from other portals based in and outside Dubai, but hoped to continue on leading the market by cashing on his organization's past track record and the city's overall bullish growth. "Several more portals about serviced apartments, Dubai cheap hotels and villas are trying to enter into the market segment we dominated since 2003, however, this was bound to take place sooner or later, so we are not too worried about it," he stated.
"We are taking several measures to secure and further develop the market we so tirelessly built over the last five years. This is merely the beginning of a series of several marketing campaigns and we plan to carry on with awareness drives throughout this year," he added. "Results of these discounts notwithstanding, other portals might also try to copy us, thus benefiting the customer even more," said Hassan.
