Tony Starlight's Supperclub & Lounge Brings Dino Back
Second Annual Birthday Party for Dean Martin to be Bigger than Ever

June 3, 2008 (FPRC) -- Portland, OR: Justin Timberlake may bring sexy back but Tony Starlight's Supperclub & Lounge is bringing Dino back. Dean Martin, that is. Once named by Playboy magazine as the "coolest man that ever lived," Dean Martin will have a swinging tribute for his birthday at Tony Starlight's Supperclub & Lounge this week on Thursday, June 5 and Saturday, June 7 2008 in the Portland's historic Hollywood district.
According to Tony Starlight, "Our second annual Dino Birthday Party & Show and spaghetti feast will leave last year's in the dust! The first set will be a tribute to The Dean Martin Show with special guests (Peggy Lee, Louis Armstrong, Petula Clark, and many more) and comedy routines in the spirit of Dino's legendary variety show. The second set will be a tribute to Dino's famous Las Vegas nightclub act, complete with song parodies and delightfully outdated jokes." For those who cannot attend Thursday’s gala show, Tony will perform the highlight’s during his 8 pm show on the regular Saturday night Tony Starlight Show.
While only in business just over a year, Tony Starlight’s Supperclub & Lounge has become a fixture in the Hollywood district of Portland. Big band aficionados, jazz enthusiasts, Rat Packers and people interested in fantastic Vegas-style variety shows have been packing the club nearly every weekend since it opened in January of 2007.
"In Hollywood, California, they said that it couldn’t be done. But in Portland’s Hollywood district, we are proving a live variety show with great food, great entertainment and a vintage vibe was the drink of water needed in a nostalgia-parched town," said Starlight.
Open since January 19, 2007, Tony Starlight's Supperclub & Lounge has been serving the Hollywood district working crowd for happy hours, with everything from calamari to crawfish cakes, full bar, regional wines and microbrews on tap. Later in the evening it is full-course steak, seafood and pasta dinners with live performances of traditional jazz, swing, and even 18-piece big bands. On Saturday nights, it's the Tony Starlight Show, a throwback to real live Vegas-style musical comedy shows.
