June 4, 2008 (FPRC) -- FunkyChunky® gourmet chocolate snacks now are certified dairy kosher by the Orthodox Union, effective May 1.
All FunkyChunky snacks, including FunkyChunky Caramel Corn, FunkyChunky Popcorn, FunkyChunky Pretzels, FunkyChunky Chocolate as well as the new FunkyChunky Peanut Butter Pretzel and the seasonal FunkyChunky Candy Cane now may carry the OU symbol, according to Ronni Feuer, founder of FunkyChunky, Inc.
“We have had many requests from customers who wanted FunkyChunky, but needed it to be kosher, so with our move to a new production facility last year, this was a logical step for us to take,” Feuer said. “Our new kitchen easily allows us to meet the meticulous standards for kosher food processing that are required by the Orthodox Union. The OU has been known for its high standards of kosher supervision for more than 80 years, and we are very proud to have its OU Dairy symbol on our products.”
OU (Orthodox Union) Kosher is the world’s largest and most widely recognized kosher certification agency, certifying more than 400,000 products produced in more than 6,000 plants in 80 countries around the world.
