Destiny Praise Celebrates National Release of Supercharged “Driven”
The Single His Will Debuts at #30 on the R&R Gospel Charts

June 8, 2008 (FPRC) --Atlanta, GA--Destiny Praise is thrilled to announce that their CD, entitled “Driven”, will be released worldwide on June 3rd, 2008. Destiny Praise is a powerful Christian vocal ensemble with a stylistically layered urban sound flavored with a combination of jazzy soul, R&B, a dash of pop, heavy bass lines, and pure anointed voices. Since 2001, this Atlanta-based group of nine has performed an urban praise and worship experience appealing to all ages with their fiery inspiration and uplifting rhythms.
Because of the success of Destiny Praise’s two previous independent releases, the record industry took notice of the innovative ensemble. The group’s label, Destiny Style Records, signed a national distribution deal with Taseis Media Group in February 2008, generating a great deal of excitement and anticipation for the group’s first National Release.
Driven’s inspiring first single, “His Will”, has exploded onto the airwaves of radio stations nationwide, becoming the second most-added song to gospel station play-lists. The spiritually powerful song debuted at number 30* on the R&R gospel charts and is destined to rise higher as listeners are inspired by the song, “His Will”. The accompanying video is also currently in heavy rotation on The Gospel Music Channel and BET Video Gospel. Both the single and the video are steadily building audience anticipation and excitement for the debut of Driven. Record Producer Travon Potts feels strongly about this inspirational CD. He remarked, “I have worked on many albums and there isn’t a project that I have worked on that has more heartfelt, God-given songs to touch the lives of people all over the world.” These energetic, gifted performers have been blessed with many opportunities to share their talents. In 2007 DP performed at the Gospel Choice Music Awards and won the category of Best Duo/Group. They performed at the 2005 Trumpet Awards, were featured on the debut album of Integrity Gospel Recording Artist "Charles & Taylor," opened for greats such as: Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Kim Burrell, Donnie McClurkin, and John P. Kee to name a few.
