Internet Advertising in Canada Takes Off

A recent survey by IAB sheds light on the remarkable growth seen in internet advertising in Canada. Online Advertising networks witness winds of change as the industry almost doubles itself.

June 10, 2008 (FPRC) -- According to a report by IAB, Internet advertising spending in Canada has grown to almost 80 percent in the last two years to reach $1.5 billion.It gets clear from the report that the fastest internet advertising growth remains in the online classifieds and internet directories, which have been seen rising up to a staggering 120 percent, with a whooping $273 million as the official count.

The report also tells that Online email marketing has grown 82 percent to $20 million, alongside search marketing which has grown 79 percent to $353 million. Also, the traditional display ads have grown 58 percent to $364 million.

She further stated that internet advertising is still the fastest growing advertising medium.
