June 13, 2008 (FPRC) -- Beaverton, OR - The Senior List.com, a new senior focused web portal announces it has registered over 5000 businesses nationwide since February 2008.
The site provides consumer reviews on senior housing, home health, elder law attorneys, and much more. On May 19th the 5,000th business was added to The Senior List. Both consumers and business owners can add businesses to The Senior List for free in their local markets.

Consumers are reviewing senior care related businesses and are willing to share their experiences with others. Reviews that boast "high-quality care" to "not caring at all" have been posted on The Senior List.com. "We have seen a tremendous response from the public who is anxious to have a place to share their experiences" says President Amie Clark. "These businesses are under more pressure than ever to provide good service. Most consumers want to know something personal about a business when they’re choosing a service for a loved one or for themselves, they want a referral" says Clark, a Portland, Oregon social worker. The Senior List aims to fill this void. "Right now we want to continue the momentum, and continue generating reports" says Clark.

The activity she refers to is not only adding businesses to the site, but also enticing the public to provide referrals, (or reports as the site calls them). This is one way the site differentiates from other sites who market senior care options. "Taking a couple minutes out of your day to fill out a report can be both informative and comforting for other local family members searching the web for resources. It’s like helping your neighbor" she says.

The objective of The Senior List is simple. Bridge the gap between consumers searching on-line for resources, and businesses providing high levels of customer satisfaction in local markets. The Senior List is an online solution that allows consumers to recommend local businesses by filling out a simple survey. It’s a way to let your voice be heard, and the only nationwide solution of its kind. Since the results of the surveys are posted to The Senior List, consumers can browse the vast database created by their peers to find trustworthy service providers.
