MBAF Elects Jeff Blinn and Leif Novie New Partners

MIAMI – June 11, 2008 – Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP (MBAF), Florida’s largest independent public accounting firm, announces that Jeffrey Blinn and Leif Novie have been named partners. Blinn and Novie were both previously directors at MBAF serving in the Tax and Accounting Department.
Both Blinn and Novie are licensed certified public accountants and attorneys, bringing a well-rounded perspective to the financial needs of their clients.

Blinn concentrates on planning for, and reporting of, the cross-border taxation of the income of U.S. and non-U. S. enterprises and individuals, as well as their personal property, real estate and intangible assets. He, therefore, provides comprehensive pre-immigration income and estate and gift tax planning and reporting across generational lines for wealthy foreign individuals, and real estate investments in the United States. Blinn also specializes in planning and reporting for foreign passive and business investments by U.S. based enterprises and individuals.
He is a licensed certified public accountant in Florida and Texas, as well as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He is also a member of the Bars of the District of Columbia, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Novie has close to 20 years of experience in public accounting and tax practice. He is both an accountant and an attorney, bringing a well-rounded perspective to the financial needs of his clients. His primary expertise focuses on planning for estates, trusts and high net worth individuals, fiduciary income taxation and accounting, partnerships, corporations and non-profit entities. Novie has in-depth experience with financial products and reviews the vast majority of MBAF’s not for-profit clients and advises the firm’s key high net worth individuals. He is a member of the AICPA and the Miami Estate Planning Council. Novie is certified in New York and Florida and is a member of the Bars of New York and New Jersey.
