DANA POINT, CALIFORNIA, June 18, 2008 (FPRC) -- SouthCoast Recovery, the leading California alcohol and drug rehab center, announces the culmination of its relationship with the California Rural Indian Health Board (www.crihb.org); the creation of SouthCoast Recovery’s new American Indian/Alaskan Native Program as an addition to its 30, 60, 90-day and six month residential treatment programs.

Through our relationship with the California Rural Indian Health Board as a pivotal provider for its Access to American Indians (AAIR) program http://www.crihb.org/AAIR/index.htm, SouthCoast Recovery recognized the need for a specialized drug and alcohol treatment program designed to help support Native American communities to provide effective lasting American Indian Treatment specific options. Regardless of age, race or sexuality, people from all walks of life seek help for alcohol and drug addiction. Men and women in the American Indian community may struggle with a multitude of issues that could contribute to alcohol or drug abuse. SouthCoast Recovery recognizes the need for specialized programs in drug and alcohol treatment tailored towards individuals. As one of the foremost providers for the AAIR Program, SouthCoast Recovery provides a safe and supportive environment for those specifically seeking Native American Treatment, offering an assigned Native American counselor for one-on-one sessions and individual therapy treatment targeting American Indian specific issues.

Often, drug and alcohol dependency is symptomatic of underlying issues that need to be addressed on an individual basis. At our state-of-the-art facility, the finest clinical and medical physicians work together with skilled practitioners in advanced traditional holistic therapies for the most comprehensive physical, emotional, and spiritual renewal of each person. SouthCoast Recovery offers seven residential facilities, a clinical therapist, a marriage & family therapist, a Native American Counselor, certified drug & alcohol counselors, a medical physician, a licensed acupuncturist with a Masters in Oriental Medicine, a licensed massage therapist, sessions in primordial sound meditation, as well as, group support in the local 12-step communities.
