Dana Point, California, July 3, 2008 (FPRC) -- SouthCoast Recovery, Orange County California’s fore-meost alcohol and drug rehab center, in response to the demand for effective Suboxone® Addiction Treatment, is proud to announce the addition of a Suboxone Treatment track to its 30, 60, 90-day and six month residential treatment programs.

Over the past few years, SouthCoast Recovery has been treating Opiate Addiction more than ever before and as a result, SouthCoast Recovery has frequently had to help people in their fight against opiates to get clean from Suboxone, the same drug prescribed to them buy their physicians in an effort to fight opiate addiction. Because of the marked increase in opiate addicts that have ended up becoming addicted to Suboxone while trying to get clean from other opiates, such as, Heroin, Vicodin®, and Oxycontin®, SouthCoast Recovery has added a specific Suboxone Addiction Treatment track in addition to its other specialized drug and alcohol treatment programs.

Suboxone addiction is believed to be a disorder of the central nervous system resulting from continuous use of opiates, ie: Opium, Morphine, and Heroin. Prolonged opiate abuse and subsequent Suboxone abuse causes the body’s natural pain killers, known as endorphins, to no longer function properly and after long-term abuse, endorphins cease to be produced by the body naturally because it is instead receiving opiates to alleviate any pain symptoms. As an Addict’s nerve cells degenerate from extended abuse, a need for more opiates and high physical tolerance eventually become present, requiring that more and more of the drug be abused in order to avoid the onset of painful withdrawal symptoms.

Suboxone addiction can also be symptomatic of underlying issues that need to be addressed on an individual basis, such as, dual diagnoses like depression and anxiety, and at SouthCoast Recovery’s state-of-the-art facilities, the finest clinical and medical physicians in California work together with skilled practitioners in advanced Eastern holistic therapies, while utilizing the most cutting edge opiate addiction detox methods such as NTR, to help ease clients through detox and provide the most comprehensive physical, emotional and spiritual renewal of each person.

SouthCoast Recovery offers seven residential facilities, a clinical therapist, marriage & family therapist, certified drug & alcohol counselors, a medical physician, a licensed acupuncturist with a Masters in Oriental Medicine, a licensed massage therapist, sessions in primordial sound meditation, as well as, group support in the local 12-step communities.

At SouthCoast Recovery, we believe that recovery from addiction is about a new way of living. Opiate Addiction Treatment is now available during 30, 60 and 90-day residential treatment at SouthCoast Recovery.
