Raffles Dubai Listed Amongst the World’s Top New Hotels
Raffles Dubai recognized in US & UK Condé Nast 2008 Hot List

July 10, 2008 (FPRC) -- Raffles Dubai has been named one of the best new hotels in the world by both Condé Nast Traveler (US edition) and Condé Nast Traveller (UK edition).
These Hot Lists are amongst the most influential accolades within the industry, recognizing the world’s top new hotels and restaurants. The Hot Lists are compiled by the editorial team and contributors of the magazines.
In the US edition of the 2008 Hot List, which includes 136 new hotels, Raffles Dubai was awarded the highest honour with a three flames-rating, for “the friendly and efficient staff (that) beat the liveried pants of their counterparts at other Dubai luxury hotels; unlike many new arrivals from far-flung worlds, Raffles employees actually take messages, summon taxis and can expertly direct guests around the city”, while Condé Nast Traveller (UK) rated Raffles
Hotels & Resorts “dazzling debut in the Middle East” amongst its list of 65 stellar hotels around the world.
Raffles Dubai marks the third Raffles property to be honoured on the Hot List, following Raffles Beijing Hotel in 2007 and Raffles Canouan Island in 2005.

Raffles Dubai’s iconic pyramidal edifice takes inspiration from the great pyramids of Egypt. The stunning façade makes a unique architectural statement while its interiors offer a treasure trove of ancient legends, exceptional artworks and design excellence, emphasizing three distinctive heritages: the traditional Middle-Eastern culture, the ancient Egypt history and the refined Asian culture.
Raffles Dubai has already received international recognition for its prominent architecture and graceful design. Tributes have emerged around the world from influential publications such as The New York Times, who praised the suites “space and comfort” while Time magazine applauded the hotel’s “understated grandeur …heralding good taste within”.
