July 28, 2008 LAS VEGAS, NV- The Las Vegas advertising & marketing agency House of Hancock raised nearly $1500 during their recent 1 hour radio segment held at the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event was held to benefit The Caring Place, an organization that raises funds to help those who have been touched by cancer.

Kerry Hancock, the President of House of Hancock, was accompanied by his Vice President Charles Savoie and legendary boxing announcer Al Bernstein for the live radiothon which was broadcast on ESPN radio 1100.

'Anytime we have the opportunity to come together and raise money to help those in our community who have been devastated by this horrible yet very common disease, we have an obligation to do everything in our power,' says Kerry Hancock. 'The decision to be a part of this event was a no brainer on our part.'

The company helped raise extra money by offering free business cards to any local businesses that donated $100 or more and the offer attracted numerous donations.

This is the company’s first time participating in the now annual 24-hour radiothon and they hope to continue doing positive work in their community in the future. 'Fortunately business has been pretty good for us and it’s nice to be able to make a direct impact in our city,' remarked Charles Savoie. 'We hope that they will have us back next year and that we can surpass the amount raised this year.'
