Jones Public Affairs Expands with New Senior Vice President; Account Executive

The O’Dwyer’s ranked Washington, D.C.-based public affairs agency continues its growth with the addition of two new account team members.

WASHINGTON—Jones Public Affairs, Inc., today announced the appointments of Dan Springer as senior vice president and Tara Goodin as account executive. A highly-skilled communications specialist, Springer will provide strategic and tactical counsel to the firm’s healthcare clientele. Goodin will provide account support in the areas of research, writing, and media relations.

Springer, a seasoned communication strategist with more than 20 years of experience, has provided counsel both for Fortune 500 and privately held companies. Springer possesses expertise in the areas of corporate communications, crisis management, public and government relations, community affairs and speechwriting.

Prior to Jones Public Affairs, Springer provided communications counsel to the executive management teams of such organizations as CHA Health Systems/CHA Biotech, the Centers for Disease Control, and Valeant Pharmaceuticals, as well as served as an officer and vice president of Beverly Enterprises, Inc. (now Golden Ventures). He began his career as a journalist in Washington, D.C. and is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America and the International Association of Business Communicators.

Goodin began her career as a student reporter for South Florida’s Sun-Sentinel and the University of Florida College of Education’s alumni magazine The Education Times. Additionally, she interned with the Alachua County, Fla. Office of Management and Budget and for Congressman Robert Wexler. Goodin recently received her B.S. in public relations and B.A. in political science from the University of Florida.
