ADDISON, TX (FPRC) August 14, 2008 -- Triple Diamond Energy Corp. (TDEC) has acquired regulatory approval for the #1 well in its Oklahoma and Texas project. The Oklahoma Corporation Commission has issued its permit to drill Coates #1.

Prior, TDEC acquired all necessary mineral agreements and leaseholds. These agreements will give the oil and gas exploration company permission to use the land and draw on the resources for its oil development project.

The venture is a multi-well well project divided between the two states. Triple Diamond Energy Corp will drill an undrilled geologic high structure of the Sportsman Lake Field in Seminole County, Oklahoma. Reports have shown Proven Undeveloped Producible Reserves of a minimum of 100,000 barrels of attic oil. With significant well control information from the existing field wells, Triple Diamond Energy is confident in its estimation of the location of these formation tops.

The additional wells Triple Diamond Energy Corp. has planned for the project will be spud on the Braden Prospect in the Schneirs Oil Field located in Tom Green County, Texas. The Schneirs Oil Field is geologically located on the Eastern Shelf of the Permian Basin. Prospective from several different hydrocarbon bearing geologic formations, the Braden Prospect is an off-set to existing oil production.

"With all of the necessary land and mineral agreements in place and regulatory approval in process from the Oklahoma Corporation Commission and the Texas Railroad Commission, drilling is set to start in August," says Chris Jent, Chief Marketing Officer of Triple Diamond Energy Corp (http://www.triplediamondenergy.com/).
