Barterzap.com Announces the Launch of Its Online Trading Service.
The main objective of BarterZap.com is to bring the bartering for individuals to a common platform. The idea is not just to showcase the site as a classified ad site, but to introduce ordinary people to the practice of bartering without a monetary system.

August 16, 2008 (FPRC) -- A Trader after registering himself with our online bartering site barterzap.com, will be able to post his products and services including pictures, description, preferred barter items etc into simple, predefined categories. He can add as many posts as he wants. Once the posts are listed, they will be checked by barterzap.com administrators for approval. Once the client as well as his individual post is approved, the post will start to display on the website. When a trader searches using similar keywords or browses categories the post will be displayed in a simple, clean list.
Traders while registering with barterzap.com will be prompted to provide a username, password and email address. The email address is used to inform the trader of interests in a barter or trade as well as allowing barterzap.com to inform the trader of post expiration.
Traders and readers also have an additional option of emailing a post to a friend, which is sent via the web site. Additionally, banner advertisements are available to advertise on different sections of the website generating revenue to allow the service to remain free to the user.
Traders can search for products or services online either using the menu by browsing through the categories listed or through the search option by entering the keywords for the products they are looking for. The site visitor can also include their city as a keyword to find trades new them.
Unlike a barter exchange that operates as a broker with credits used as a unit of exchange, barterzap.com has no monetary system and does not track or conduct transactions. There is no reference to price however some traders choose to include price information in the description of the barter.
Currently barterzap.com is live and will be continuously monitored and improved to make bartering an easy alternative to buying and selling.
