Burnaby BC, August 18, 2008 -- Steven Simonyi-Gindele, President and CEO of ID Superstore (http://www.idsuperstore.com), a division of Pics SmartCard Inc reported to the RCMP an attempt by a former employee to use Mr. Simonyi-Gindele's personal credit card to purchase a $5,000 television set. The attempt was unsuccessful due to vigilance of Visa who promptly notified Mr. Simonyi-Gindele who stopped the transaction from being processed.

Shortly after the fraud attempt Mr. Simonyi-Gindele was contacted by Mr. Les Pilchak, a friendly competitor and owner of eCard in Delta BC. Mr. Pilchak informed Mr. Simonyi-Gindele that he terminated the employement of the fraudster and found a record of Mr. Simonyi-Gindele's credit card number and other evidence on the office computer used by the fraudster.

The RCMP was called and they took a statement from Mr. Simonyi-Gindele, who provided the RCMP with the former employees particulars including as well as Mr. Pilchak's information. Mr. Pilchak informed Mr. Simonyi-Gindele that he never heard from the RCMP.

Mr. Simonyi-Gindele says 'You would think that the police would at least investigate and follow up on leads provided to what looks like an open and shut case of online fraud and identity theft, but they chose to do nothing. I left voice mails with the police but they did not even return my calls. I am wondering what is requried to get service from the RCMP.'
