August 21, 2008 (FPRC) -- California Traffic School, National Driver Safety Services (NDSS), the company behind the web site located at
www.california-trafficschool-online.com, is pleased to announce that students can now take California online traffic school directly through the web site. This allows drivers who have been convicted of moving violations to take a California approved traffic school without going to a classroom to do so. The various court systems within California have agreed that this method of delivering California defensive driving training to the citizens of the state will cut their costs and create a new era of
convenience for students.

It is also an approved method for having tickets within the state dismissed, points removed from licenses, and for general instructional purposes. Students taking California online traffic school through www.california-trafficschool-online.com will not be required to install software in order to take the course. They will be permitted to access the material directly through the web site, and can work on the course from any computer with Internet access.

Students will also be permitted to log in and out of the course at any time, and as often as they wish. 'This is a self-paced form of study,' a representative for the company explains. 'You don’t need to be online at a particular time of day, because everyone is accessing their own copy of the course and does not depend on the other students for their own progress.'

The class, which costs as low as $14.50, is approved for use in place of the old style of classroom instruction formerly required by the courts when a violator was required to take defensive driving. There are eight units of study, and after each unit a self-paced automated quiz allows students to monitor their progress and ensure that they have absorbed the pertinent details of the prior unit. A final exam is administered to complete the process.

Once students pass the course, NDSS sends them a certificate of completion that they are then able to bring to court to satisfy their obligation.
