September 2, 2008 (FPRC) -- MyMemory, industry leader in digital memory and a long standing customer of iweb, are the first to launch a memory vending machine to the UK. Each MyMemory vending machine contains a comprehensive range of Flash memory products and accessories including; SD cards, CompactFlash cards, headsets and USB drives.

By integrating the product selector technology developed by iweb for the MyMemory web site, the vending machines give customers the confidence they are purchasing the correct memory card for their device. With over 4000 product models including phones, digital cameras and mp3 players currently on the market, the touch screen technology allows the customer to choose their product, brand and model to select the correct memory in three easy steps. Payment uses chip and pin technology, just like an ATM, so the customer is assured of a secure transaction.

Stock levels and positioning of products in each vending machine are monitored and controlled remotely by a database developed in conjunction with K6 Design Group, an Industrial Design company that specialise in the design development and supply of unique vending solutions. The database also allows for the constant update of the product selector so that all new models are included as soon as they are launched.
The vending machines are already installed at North Terminal, Gatwick Airport and The Oracle Shopping Centre in Reading and more are planned in major airports, mainline stations and shopping centres throughout the UK in the coming months.

Karl Moss, Managing Director of MyMemory Limited says, 'We're delighted to be providing the first vending machines to offer 'Chip and PIN' access to high value memory products. This is also great news for consumers, as it offers them a fast, convenient and secure way of buying the very best Flash memory products on the market via our machines.'http://www.mymemory.co.uk
