Ice Hockey League in Hong Kong Gets Major Boost with Molson Coors Sponsorship
As hockey leagues around the world get ready for a new season, Hong Kong’s Rink Management Group Limited has announced a crucial partnership with Molson Coors Brewing Company.

September 8, 2008 (FPRC) -- The new ice hockey season is set to kick off in Hong Kong and Molson Coors Brewing Company will be the league’s official sponsor, the Rink Management Group announces.
The puck drops to start the 2008-09 Hong Kong Ice Hockey League campaign on Sept. 24, and Coors Light will play a starring role during the season at the state-of-the-art MegaIce rink.

Canadian-based Molson Inc. and Golden, Colorado’s Adolph Coors Company merged on Feb. 9, 2005, making Molson Coors a leading global brewer with the longest history of brewing and marketing beer in North America.
The brewer is setting its sights beyond North America and the United Kingdom with a long-term, brand-building strategy for growing markets such as China, where the company is expanding the Coors Light brand as well as partnering with distributors in emerging markets such as Hong Kong, Vietnam, Taiwan and South Korea.
The Molson Coors partnership with Hong Kong’s hockey players will undoubtedly bolster an already high-flying league.

The MegaIce rink is Hong Kong's first venue able to host Olympic qualifying games and international leagues. It is situated in the Beehive atrium of MegaBox mall, and offers a stunning view of Hong Kong’s harbour through an impressive 30-meter wide glass window.
MegaIce aims to bring world-class international skating competitions such as the Asian Figure Skating Championships and the Asian Short Track Speed Skating Championships to Hong Kong.
The state-of-the-art facility is also a multi-purpose venue designed for performances, concerts, exhibitions, corporate and private functions, and even birthday parties.
