September 19, 2008 (FPRC) --Jefferson State Bank will continue to utilize Edcomm Banker’s Academy’s Focus on Compliance, Achieving Teller Excellence and Focus on Information Security bank training programs. The Bank will also use the Learning Management System (LMS), Learning Link® for hosting and maintenance services.

Focus on Compliance covers: Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti Money Laundering (AML), USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, Privacy, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Right to Financial Privacy, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Reg CC & Check 21, Reg D, Reg E, Reg Z, Truth in Lending, FCRA, HMDA, CRA, and Bank Bribery, among others.

Take Charge! Achieving Teller Excellence, is a comprehensive program that prepares students with the skills, knowledge and attitude that make successful tellers. The program provides students with an overview of the industry and coaches them on how to deliver exceptional customer service and how to process and settle transactions while being mindful of compliance issues.

Focus on Information Security is designed to keep the Bank in compliance with all federal privacy laws and regulations such as the GLBA, Reg P and the FACT Act. The program details the technical and material factors that expose the Bank to risk and how to reduce it by following proper security policies and procedures for Internet and email usage and physical security as well as how to identify and report potential problems and security breaches.

Learning Link® provides clients with the latest in testing, tracking, administration, report and certification software. Its open architecture builds on industry-standard SCORM and AICC compliance, but adds features and capabilities far beyond any competing products.
