September 29, 2008 (FPRC) -- PM Moon Publishers announces it has just released The Magic Of Laven-Rock by Dr. Mosetta Penick Phillips-Cermak. The second in her series of children's stories about a mythical world, The Magic of Laven-Rock, by Dr. Mosetta Penick Phillips-Cermak, has just been released to bookstores.
Published by PM Moon Publishers, The Magic of Laven-Rock is a delightful story about sharing. Written for children in Kindergarten through third grade, The Magic of Laven-Rock explores making friends with someone who is different, and how one can even share something that is a precious resource with them.
'The Magic of Laven-Rock is a little different than The Wishing Flower,' said Dr. Penick Phillips-Cermak. 'In The Wishing Flower, there was no opposite entity to the forces of good. But, in The Magic of Laven-Rock, the antagonist is present from the very beginning. He is even a little scary, at first. But soon everyone learns that just because someone looks different doesn't automatically make then a bad person.'
The Magic of Laven-Rock is a fairy tale about similarities and differences among people. In this story the children learn that fighting is not the solution to problems. The children decide that problems can be resolved through discussion, and that we can all share with each other.
According to Dr. Mosetta, who is currently teaching for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, 'There might even be a lesson in this for our world leaders as the children share the natural resources of their country.'
