Vital Path Enhances Federated Records / In-Place Records Management

Vital Path Announces Solution to Improve Record Management

 Print View

ARMA International, LAS VEGAS, NV – October 20, 2008 —Vital Path, a leader in content integration software, today announced PathBuilder’s solution to enhance federated records management capabilities for organizations. Federated Records / In-Place Records Management is when a “best of breed” records management software solution is able to work across a variety of content repositories within an enterprise, without relocating the content to the records management system.

The PathBuilder software allows organizations to continue managing content at the line of business application or at a departmental level --while managing records at the enterprise level. This allows organizations to leverage current IT investment and infrastructure, with minimal to no impact to end-users.

Working in conjunction with an organization’s choice of records management solution, PathBuilder enables customers to rapidly implement and enforce standard information policies across their enterprise as required by the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. PathBuilder’s seamless integration with more than two dozen existing content management systems allows organizations to perform federated searches, place holds or dispositions on content across their existing line of business and document management systems.

“PathBuilder software specifically addresses an organization’s need to integrate eRoom, Documentum, Hummingbird, Livelink, SharePoint and other ECM products with the top records management and retention policy engines using commercially available, certified connectors thus providing a ‘best of breed’ solution,” said Jay Rothe, president, Vital Path.

PathBuilder is a content migration and integration software platform specifically designed for unstructured content including documents, spreadsheets and emails. PathBuilder helps companies quickly and easily integrate diverse content repositories. Using a simple interface, PathBuilder can migrate or integrate content systems with relative ease, while enabling federated searching and in-place records management across a company’s enterprise.

Vital Path is exhibiting in booth #931 at ARMA International, October 20-23.
