November 29, 2008 (FPRC) -- This month Getprice will be teaming up with local designer Jacob Cass from http://justcreativedesign.com to sponsor and support Blog Action Day 2008. JCD is just one of over 12,000 blogs who are uniting online for the fight against poverty. The objective is to reach as many people as possible and to foster action and change.
Created originally to raise awareness for this issue, the 2007 running of Blog Action Day was not only featured across the blogosphere but was picked up globally across all ranges of media from TV stations in Greece, to radio stations in Spain, and newspapers in New Zealand. This year 17 of the Top 100 bloggers contributed to raise awareness for this campaign.
Help fight poverty on Blog Action Day by making a donation to the Global Fund today through paypal. The fund was created to finance a dramatic turnaround in the three major diseases - AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, that are both the result and cause of poverty in dozens of countries. Or if you’re a designer, write up a nifty article about using design to advocate discussion about the issues relating to poverty.
