January 2, 2009 (FPRC) -- AccesStream, a provider of open source access management and security solutions, is pleased to announce the beta release of its identity access management solution to the open source community. The source code is available for immediate download and testing from AccesStream’s website. This initiative will allow developers worldwide to participate in the growth of the industry's most innovative enterprise identity access management solution.
The goal of the AccesStream project is to deliver to the open source community an enterprise class identity access management solution offering authentication, authorization, audit, reporting, administration, security policy, single sign-on and support for common directories and identity access management solutions. An open source approach to identity access management will eliminate upfront licensing costs thereby placing a greater emphasis on successful implementations. The open source community will increase the identification and speed-to-market of integration and plug-ins. The greater number of community developers will ensure a consistent and timely functionality.
