January 5, 2009 (FPRC) -- NAPERVILLE, Ill. – BotProof, a leading provider of innovative Internet security solutions, is expanding its consumer-oriented identity theft solution – MySafe – to an increased number of beta testers. Individuals may sign up for the beta version by registering at the MySafe beta Web site, http://www.BotProof.com/MySafe.
BotProof's MySafe protects passwords and other personal information from being stolen by nefarious programs, also known as bots. Using patent-pending technology, MySafe creates security images that are easy to read, but can only be viewed by humans.
"The Internet is plagued by a growing number of automated programs – bots – whose sole purpose is to steal your personal information," says BotProof founder and CEO Jason Koziol. "The bots use this information for anything from the annoying, such as sending you spam, to the illegal, such as charging your credit cards for items or services you never approved."
Koziol said BotProof's MySafe will allow members to continue to use the Web, even publish their e-mail addresses, without the fear of their most private information being hijacked for illicit purposes.
BotProof is expanding enrollment for a limited time in the free beta test, and beta participants will continue to receive free service after the test concludes and retail services are launched.
"We have been successful thus far in achieving our goals for beta test enrollment," Koziol said. "and want to accommodate the requests we have recieved to expand the number of participants."
