January 12, 2009 (FPRC) --The genius of the Sarnoff Corporation, creators of Colour TV, the electron microscope and the platform for satellite TV, has developed a specific golf ball finder that will locate any make of standard white golf ball with 1% of its surface visible to the camera (too small a sample for the human eye to reliably identify).
Using the latest digital tracking/imaging technology, the hand-held battery-operated Ballfinder Scout™ pinpoints the location of any standard white golf ball within a radius of 15 metres. The video-like scanner can search up to 600 square feet in one second or almost 1/7 of an acre in 10 seconds! Each of 3.2 million pixels is scanned in nanoseconds and analysed, pixel by pixel using proprietary GLS -golf ball locating system technology, to look for the unique colour signature found on any standard white golf ball.
How easy is it to use the Ballfinder Scout™ ? Its as simple as point and shoot. Just aim the scanner at the general area where the ball might be, press the button and slowly scan the area. The unit vibrates when a sighting is made; a pair of LED’s point the user toward the ball and, as the Ballfinder Scout™ locates the ball, brackets appear on the screen and a snapshot of the ball, exactly where it is lying, appears. Follow the vibration, be guided by the LED’s, walk toward the area and pick up your ball. Simple as that..
No gimmicks...just great Science - that really works! However, Ballfinder Scout™ will not find every ball. It cannot locate a ball if it is totally covered or immersed in water.
