May 5, 2009 (FPRC) -- One of the most reputable sushi restaurants in Orlando, Ichiban, has been one of the first restaurants to utilize social media and online resources to recruit new customers, offer food specials, and even host community events.
For the fifth time, Ichiban will be hosting a "Tweetup" on Friday, May 22nd at 6:00pm. By definition, a Tweetup is a meet-up planned and promoted on the popular microblogging website, Twitter. Once at the event, the attendees network with fellow Twitter users and tweet about their experiences during the event.
Throughout the last few months, Ichiban has been the go-to place for Orlando Tweetups. Aside from their own events, Ichiban has hosted the "Official Orlando Tweetup," as well as the nationally recognized "Twestival," which served as a get together to raise awareness about improving the drinking water in third world countries.
These events are not the only thing that has set the restaurant apart from their local competition. Late last year, they became the first restaurant in the nation to take advanced orders via Twitter.
Ichiban has a lot to be proud of. But don’t fail to recognize their social media marketers, the small Orlando firm, Endagon Innovations, for spearheading all of their online campaigns. Together, these two entities have been taken Orlando, and the online universe, by storm.

Ichiban hopes to see everyone in Central Florida at the Tweetup later this month.
