Bristol, UK ( Free-press-release-center ) June 18, 2009 - A new dating game show due to premiere on American television soon will not only make entertaining viewing, but will also help shift attitudes about beauty, says Damian O'Connor.
O'Connor, Managing Director of Models Direct, one of the UK's largest modelling agencies, is referring to More to Love, an innovative new dating competition series from the executive producer of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, Mike Fleiss. More to Love will be hosted by full-figured supermodel Emme.
“I'm very excited about Mike Fleiss's new show,” says O'Connor. “Emme has been an inspiration to thousands of women who dream of becoming a model, and this show will raise her profile even further.”
According to a synopsis online, the reality show will follow a “single and eligible man with a big waist and an even bigger heart as he romances several confident and secure plus-size women.” As the series progresses, the field will narrow from 20 women down to the one lady that the lucky bachelor chooses.
“I think the concept of the show is really strong,” says O'Connor. “Most of all, it will be very significant in boosting self confidence and self esteem among plus sized men and women. That's thanks largely to the involvement of Emme, whose modelling career has been pioneering the area of plus sized modelling. It's a very smart move to get her on board.”
In addition to working as a model, Emme's career has included becoming a television personality, author, inspirational speaker and a clothing designer. In her book True Beauty, she tells the story of her life and rise to success as a supermodel. She is a very strong advocate for healthy lifestyles.
“People will watch this show and see how confident and beautiful plus size can be,” says O'Connor.
