Tourists Enjoy The Spirit Of The Marlin Tournament With Best On Key West Fishing Excursions

July 1, 2009 (FPRC) -- KEY WEST, FL - In keeping with the spirit of the annual Key West Marlin Tournament, acclaimed tour operator Best On Key West is offering tourists a chance to hone their angling skills by participating in the several Key West fishing excursions and tours organized by the agent.
The annual Key West Marlin Tournament is held in memory of angler and writer extraordinaire Ernest Hemingway. The tournament coincides with the annual Hemingway Days celebrations held in Key West to pay tribute to the author. All participants are required to register for the event, which is to take place Wednesday, July 22 through Saturday, July 25. The prize for the winner of the tournament is almost as legendary as the tournament itself, with the cash purse holding more than $50,000, and the first place winner being rewarded with $25,000.

Tourists in town to watch the Marlin Tournament can take advantage of these tours to learn the ropes and enjoy fishing first hand. Fishing excursions offered range from offshore fishing, flats fishing, light tackle and party boat fishing. Tours can be four, six or eight hours in duration, depending on the participants' preference.
