Along With New Jersey Amusement Parks, Morey's Piers Adds Summer Concert Series To The Mix

Along with its famous New Jersey amusement parks, every Monday through August 31 Morey's Piers will partner with Radio Disney AM 640 to bring new talent to the Wildwoods. This is the fourth year Morey's Piers has held the summer concert series.

July 3, 2009 (FPRC) -- THE WILDWOODS, NJ -- Morey's Piers, known for offering the best New Jersey amusement parks, has recently added a summer concert series to its exciting entertainment lineup. Jonnie and Brooke winners of Radio Disney's "Next Big Thing," kicked off a summer of free family-friendly pop concerts on June 29 on Mariner's Landing Pier, at Schellenger Avenue. Each Monday through August 31, visitors can enjoy two performances at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., with an artist meet and greet after each show.

This is the 4th year that Morey's Piers has partnered with Radio Disney AM 640 and others to bring outstanding musical talent to the Wildwoods. The number of concerts climbs to ten this year, a direct result of the overwhelming popularity of past live shows featuring Raven Symone, The Cheetah Girls, Jesse McCartney, Jordan Pruitt, Mitchel Musso and Drew Seeley.

"Mondays at Morey's are all about music," says Morey event and entertainment director, Merideth Fiorucci.

The roster of talent for 2009 ranges from Reading, Pa-based teen band Comic Book Heroes, to 15 year-old singer-songwriter, Ashlee Keating. A full listing of scheduled performers throughout the summer includes:

July 13 - Comic Book Heroes
July 20 - Joey Page
July 27 - Bre Morgan
August 3 - Allstar
August 10 - Ashlee Keating
August 17 - Savvy & Mandy
August 24 - Brock Storm
August 31 - Tiffany Giardina

"Morey's Piers is thrilled to offer so many family-friendly musical performers this summer as we celebrate our 40th anniversary. Along with offering the best Wildwood waterparks and amusement parks, through our summer concert series now guests will have even more entertainment options," says Morey executive vice president, Jack Morey.

Concertgoers can purchase a Magical Monday pier and waterpark discounted pass online and receive a commemorative Morey's Piers Summer Concert Series autograph book along with reserved VIP seating. Guests receive their autograph book and reserved seating pass when they redeem their prepaid voucher at Guest Services. NOTE: Passes must be purchased online in order to receive an autograph book and reserved VIP seating.

The Magical Monday pier pass is $25 and the one-day combination pier and waterpark pass is $35. Raging Waters Beachfront Waterpark is open to Magical Mondays pass holders between 9:30 am and 6 pm. Morey's Piers Amusements are open to pass holders between 12:30 pm and 6 pm. Good for Mondays only, June 29 -- August 31, 2009. Vouchers must be surrendered upon redemption at Guest Services.
