July 13, 2009 (FPRC) -- KEYWEST, FL -- Adding to its list of unique tour offerings, Florida’s premier tour operator, Best on Key West, has announced a brand new addition to its list of Featured Tours – The Yankee Freedom Dry Tortugas Tour. The tour aboard the Yankee Freedom II ferry travels to the Dry Tortugas National Park daily, ensuring that no one misses out.
The Yankee Freedom Tour is a ferry tour to the National Park but packs in more than just sightseeing. The Key West National Park is best known for the historic Fort Jefferson and the Yankee Freedom Tour includes a guided tour of the place. In addition, tour participants can enjoy snorkeling where all gear and equipment is provided. The 9.5 hour tour includes delicious breakfast and a buffet style lunch as well.

For tourists interested in experiencing the history of Dry Tortugas, experienced and knowledgeable guides conduct tours of Fort Jefferson and talk about the history of the Garden Key brick structure that once acted as a US military prison.

The Yankee Freedom II is a giant catamaran designed to carry up to 250 passengers but carries only 120 for any trip to ensure maximum comfort. The tour departs every morning at 9 AM and returns at 5:30 PM. Adult prices for a ticket are $150 while children under 17 pay $120. The price includes the guided tour, meals and snorkeling gear and equipment. Fees to enter the National Park are not included.
