August 25, 2009 (FPRC) -- The Prayer Bank - the world's first good will repository where positive thoughts and prayers compound to accrue spiritual interest has now officially opened it's doors.
The history behind this new spiritual institution is short:
It was a Friday night when Tom O'Brien, co-founder of JointWinWin.com lay down to sleep with his brain ticking over on a question he needed answering:
'How can I get my message out to the world about JointWinWin and the good it can do for business owners, consumers and charities alike?'
What came back was to him was both surprising and instantaneous.
Three little words: 'Pray It Forward'
Cynics may well say such head voices are symptoms of schizophrenia, rationalists will say it was the subconscious talking and the devout will say it was divine inspiration.
And that's how ThePrayerBank.org came into existence.
It's function is to allow anyone from any religious background or faith to anonymously send a positive prayer to build up an account of spiritual good will.
A simple interface with a form to enter a prayer, a submit button, one click and your prayer is sent and added a prayer to the prayer bank. No forms to fill in, no charges to pay, no committments other than to yourself and God.
Definitely an alternative to the credit crunch doom and gloom mongers prevalent in the press over the past year.
The idea behind The Prayer Bank is to channel the power of intent and the power of positive energy to help heal the rifts in society today.
According to founder Tom O'Brien:
'I do believe in God (and from a mathematical perspective it's a smart move - think of it as the ultimate in insurance policies) but I don't believe any one religion is right over another.
So who am I to pontificate and say God spoke to me?
Well, on the offchance the big man (or woman) upstairs was talking to me, I have listened and acted.
It would be rude not to!
The concept hurts no-one and the upside endless.'
