Visitors & Convention Bureau Adds New Vacation Packages To List Of Things To Do In Central Florida
The Central Florida Visitors and Convention Bureau announced two new enjoyable packages for a Central Florida vacation. Visitors can now experience a Furry Family Getaway with a family pet as well as an exciting Geocaching Adventure.

September 11, 2009 (FPRC) -- POLK COUNTY, FL - The Central Florida Visitors and Convention Bureau has recently announced two new Central Florida vacation package deals. The new packages being introduced by the Bureau are the Furry Family Getaway and the Calling All Geo-cachers Package. These unique tourist packages are ideal for a fun family holiday in the region.
The Furry Family Getaway is a vacation package designed for families who do not want to leave their furry family members (pets) behind. The Best Western Admiral’s Inn and Conference Center allows and celebrates pets. The furry creatures are greeted with a welcome "Doggie Bag" or "Cat Sack" with homemade treats, a Frisbee, toy and disposable camera for the owners. A special map of the property with paw prints, highlighting the best places to take your pet for a walk is also provided. Priced at $214.99 plus tax for a family of up to 4 people and a pet, this package also includes a 3-day/2-night stay in a pet friendly guest room with complimentary breakfast.
"Families often have a hard time planning their holiday because they don’t want to leave their pet behind. This package getaway takes the hassle out of planning a vacation by creating a pet-friendly atmosphere for families so the whole family can enjoy their holidays together," says Mark Jackson, Director of the Central Florida Visitors and Convention Bureau.
In addition to the Furry Family Friends Getaway, the Bureau's new Calling All Geo-cachers Package is ideal for adventure lovers. Polk County has more than 2,200 geo-caches from Bok Tower Gardens to trails in more than 30 nature parks, making for enjoyable and exciting trekking experiences. Geo-caching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. It is one of the most enjoyable activities in Florida and is fun for the entire family. The package is priced at $99 per person per night for a 3-day/2-night stay at the Best Western Admiral’s Inn. The package includes entrance for two to Bok Tower Gardens, Lake Wales, complimentary breakfast and a Best Western Geo-cache Tool Bag complete with a disposable camera to record all of your geo-caching memories. Additionally, a map of the area, a list of 15 geo-cache locations for the "Trek Ten Trails" Program and a few other essentials are also provided.
