"Job stability, comprehensive benefits, and competitive pay in civilian jobs are becoming tougher to find in today's economy and has more people considering higher level positions in the military," said Larry Fowler of Navy.org.
The goal of the military’s various academies is to strengthen their candidate’s education as well as give their young minds insight into what life would be like in the military. These schools are a great first step for any young person considering the military, especially becoming an officer.
"Those who have a college education but no military experience are often surprised to learn that they can enlist in the military at the officer level. Officer Candidate School training is designed for college students with no military experience who wish to train to become Officers," said Fowler.
Army, Navy and Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard each have their own Military Prep School. The report offers a list of the various schools and length of training. For those interested in learning more about a career in the navy, the report offers a form to request a free career information pack.
