Best On Key West Readies for 2010 Key West Food and Wine Festival

January 13, 2010 (FPRC) -- This year, Key West visitors can join in the fun of the very first ever Key West Food & Wine Festival taking place from Thursday January 28th through Sunday January 31st. Top Key West tours and information center Best On Key West is gearing up for the festival by providing guests with deals on some of their most popular activities.

The Key West Food & Wine Festival is a four-day event with walk-around tastings along the attractive historic streets of Downtown Key West Florida, educational seminars focusing on food and wine, and a variety of parties and celebration to showcase Key West's unique zest for food, drink, and good times.

The official start to the event takes place at South Beach, located on the south end of Duval Street, just across from the popular Key West hotel, the Southernmost House. Hosted by Barefoot Wine & Bubbly, the event will feature island favorite such as seafood appetizers, mojitos, and margaritas to the sounds of local jazz musicians.

Other events throughout the weekend that are sure to be a hit include the wine and food sampling during "Wine Around Key West Bight Stroll" on Thursday along the Key West Historic Bight Marina, the Jose Marti Havana Night Cigar Dinner also on Thursday, the Key West Food and Wine Festival Sunset Grand Tasting starting at 5PM on Friday, a mile-long wine tasting event called "Duval Uncorked" on Saturday, and an outdoor wine market on the last day of festivities.

Key West cuisine is known for its delicious combination of seafood, Caribbean, and American flavors. The city is also known for its varied and dedicated drinking scene, featuring bars and lounges of all shapes and sized scattered throughout its small, pedestrian-friendly Old Town area.

To celebrate in Key West's first Food & Wine festival, Best On Key West is offering event-goers the chance to experience some of their many Key West tours and activities for the lowest prices around. Guests can head out to the Gulf of Mexico on a Key West sunset cruise to experience the famous Key West sunset in style. The "Commotion on the Ocean" trip, featuring unlimited drinks and live music every night, is a favorite. Guests can take advantage of this sunset cruise for the low price of $49.

Visitors looking to experience the wide array of water sports can try out the Ultimate Adventure tour, now being offered for the limited time discounted rate of $119 per adult. A spot on the Ultimate Adventure also gets you a complimentary spot on the Champagne Sunset Sail or a $20 upgrade to the Commotion on the Ocean.
