January 15, 2010 (FPRC) -- Rochester, NY -- Comfortex ComforTrack™ Plus Energy Saving Sidetrack Insulation System, available at online window blinds superstore Blinds Express, will qualify for a federal tax credit for Energy Efficiency under the insulation category. The federal tax credit is designed to incentivize homeowners to make energy saving choices in their homes.
Homeowners can receive a 30 percent credit on the costs of qualified energy efficiency improvements to their primary residence under Section 25C of the Internal Revenue Code. The ComforTrack™ Plus Energy Saving Sidetrack Insulation System has been declared a qualified energy improvement.
"Not only can homeowners receive up to a $1500.00 tax credit, they also benefit from the reduced monthly energy bills as a result of installing these energy efficient blinds throughout their home," said Thomas Williams, Systems Administrator for Blinds Express.
The tax credit is available to any homewoner who purchases ComforTrack Plus Energy Saving Sidetrack Insulation window blinds during the 2010 calendar year. Additionally, those who purchased these energy saving Comfortex blinds in 2009 also qualify for the tax benefit. The 30 percent tax credit applies to the cost of the purchase of the blinds, not toward any costs incurred for installation.
Cellular shades alone work well to insulate as a result of their honeycomb shaped design. However, the ComforTrack Plus Insulation System, which is placed along the window frame and connected to the blind itself, further insulates by sealing the gaps between the cellular shades and the window frame.
Blinds Express customers who purchase the ComforTrack Plus Insulation System have an array of color choices including Virtuoso, Virtuoso Blackout, Metro, Symphony and Symphony Blackout. In addition to color choices, customers also have a variety of style choices including the standard pull cord, top down-bottom up, Continuous Cord Loop, Cordless, and Cordless Top Down-Bottom Up.
More information about the federal tax credit on the ComforTrack Plus Insulation System, as well as a link to color options and choices is available at: http://www.blindsexpress.com/comfort_trac_energy.jsp.
