January 20, 2010 (FPRC) -- From Federico Fellini’s La Dolce Vita to Ron Howard’s Angels and Demons, Rome has been the set of hundreds of world famous movies. Now a special tour designed by Romaround is offering the possibility to re-live the emotions of the big screen on-site.
A three hour walking tour through the center of Rome will help visitors to discover the locations and the secrets behind the making of movies set in Rome. The featured films range from old time classics like Roman Holiday, Three Coins in the Fountain, Bicycle Thieves to modern releases like Angels and Demons, The Belly of an Architect, The Talented Mr. Ripley.
Anecdotes and secrets of celebrities who played in these movies will be revealed, including Kate Blanchett, Matt Demon, Tom Hanks, Audrey Hepburn, Sophia Loren, Jude Law, Marcello Mastroianni, Gregory Peck.

The tour includes the most important touristic attractions of Rome, Trevi Fountain, Navona square, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps.
Another movie themed tour to be launched in February will focus on ancient Rome. This tour will include also the Colosseum and the Circus Maximus, so visitors will see where Russel Crowe was fighting in the Gladiator and where Charlton Heston was running the chariots in Ben Hur.
