This is so-called “length cutting optimization” problem and it has been intensively studied for decades by scientists and engineers.

Since users don't need to import, export, save or load any additional files, all the data is saved within the workbook effectively eliminating any potential errors. Users may choose to optimize according to either waste or both waste and cost minimization scenarios. Additional parameters, such as saw kerf, minimal waste size and completion mode, help users account for the features and limitations of the utilized cutting hardware.
