January 29, 2010 (FPRC) -- Key West's leading center for Key West diving tours and activities, the Key West Dive Center, has announced its one-of-a-kind 2010 Dive-in-a-Day Resort Course to visitors coming down to sunny Key West Florida during the 2010 spring break. This course allows visitors to experience an actual Key West scuba diving excursion without getting their Open Water certification.
While a full diving certification allows you to dive unaccompanied in waters of up to 60 feet deep anywhere in the world, non-certified divers can still sample an introductory Key West scuba diving trip. The trip is made up of two parts: the instruction portion in the pool of a local resort in the morning followed by an actual 2-tank Key West diving trip in the afternoon.
The diving portion is the same dive trip that certified divers get to go on in the afternoon. The only difference is that Resort Course divers will be accompanied by one of the dive center's expert Key West diving instructors. Instructors are certified master divers who will ensure divers' safety throughout the trip. They are also very familiar with the Key West coral reef system and will be able to lead you to the best spots during your diving excursion.
Some spring breakers like to get their full Open Water certification during their week-long spring break vacation. 'The Dive-in-a-Day Resort Course is an excellent option for spring breakers who want to see what scuba diving is like without dedicating the four days required for a full certification,' explains Key West Dive Center reservations agent Jenn Malik.
Space for Resort Courses are highly limited. Travelers coming to Key West in the next two months are encouraged to check availability and reserve their trips with the Key West Dive Center well in advance. In addition to regular diving Key West trips and the Resort Course, the center also provides Key West snorkeling excursion, full scuba certification courses, and refresher courses.
