February 19, 2010 (FPRC) -- UK, Feb 11, 2010 - Laptop Power, the UK's premier online supplier of compatible laptop spares and accessories, is delighted to announce dynamic plans for expansion into repairs and school IT maintenance in 2010. The most exciting news is their plan to launch into retail shops.

Laptop Power is the company of choice when it comes to online laptop hardware solutions. From their early days of supplying low cost, high quality laptop adaptors they moved into replacement LCD screens and, latterly, replacement keyboards too.

Their last trading year saw unprecedented levels of expansion and growth, as more and more people saw the benefits of using compatible, replaceable laptop parts. However, Laptop Power became aware that not everyone had the acumen to do the job themselves. Instead of ordering their spares from Laptop Power, they were taking their computers to expensive PC engineers instead.

Another factor was the large number of schools that began ordering parts. School laptops get a lot of boisterous use - it's not the best environment for a piece of delicate technology - and once it was seen what savings could be made to the annual budget, IT teachers were queuing up to order spare parts from Laptop Power.

Following their most successful year ever, Laptop Power knows that something as "hands on" as laptop technology cannot be served purely by an e commerce retail site. They have seen the need to expand into offering postal laptop repairs and in offering schools a dedicated IT repair and maintenance service.

Laptop Power also sees the need for "bricks-and-mortar" stores, where people can buy spares, drop off computers for repair and such like. "Computer spares and laptop replacements are one area where retail and e-commerce can work seamlessly," said Andrew Roughly of Laptop Power. "The more that people realise the benefits of buying from us, the more there's a need for a place they can do it in person as well as online."
