March 3, 2010 (FPRC) -- Canasta players have been searching for a reliable source of Canasta cards to satisfy their demands for a specially designed deck ever since Bicycle discontinued making them 2 years ago.
PlayingCardsandMore.com set out to fill this void by introducing their own line of Stingray Canasta cards last fall, and the Canasta community responded overwhelmingly.
"The first run of 1,000 decks have already sold out, so we are running an additional 5,000 decks right now" rejoiced Marie-Helene Kemper (General Manager) "we are trying our best to keep up with demand".
The creators of Stingray Canasta knew they wanted to produce a line of Canasta cards that would not only be fun to play with, but they wanted to produce a deck of cards that would also convey the hot Latin flavor of the game.
"Canasta was invented in South America, so we wanted to convey that rich heritage through the use of bright vibrant colors" says Marie-Helene Kemper. "We turned to the artist behind DESJGN Playing Cards, Jason Hawley, bring our vision to life. Jason came up with the Cobblestone back design which is featured on back of every Stingray card, and we couldn't have been more pleased".
Once the back design was perfected, Playing Cards and More and Jason focused their attention on the face of the cards. They placed the Canasta point values on every card, which helps make the scoring of the game a breeze., and will be greatly appreciated by Canasta players.
Finally, Stingray Canasta cards were printed on the highest quality playing card stock with a premium linen-finish to add an extra touch of elegance to the cards. "Stingray Canasta are a real pleasure to play, we have received nothing but positive feedback from our customers" smiled Marie-Helene "Stingray Canasta cards are here to stay!"
