About Kufa Castro
Kufa Castro birth name Leandro Castro was Born in The Dominican Republic in 1986 in the capital city of Santo Domingo in the humble neighborhood of Sabana Perdida. Growing up he was introduced to the classical Latin music by his parents at home by artist such as Jose Luis Perales, Jose Jose, Los Angeles Negros and then was later introduced to Latin Hip Hop and Reggeaton at the local corner store "the Colmado" and together getting a blend of the fine classical international Latin music and the Urban Rhythms of original reggae until 1996 when he moved to the city of Providence RI. At the age of 16 he started writing songs about his personal life, dreams, and things happening around him, and recording over blank tapes.
Started professionally recording at the age of 18 with his music partners who made music in English. He was the only one out of his crew who made music in Spanish, which helped him individualize himself and make his music more personal. Set out to make a difference in the Music Industry of cloned artist bringing a fresh sound with real stories and refreshing melodies. He has been featured on numerous mixtapes and albums all over the USA and his music has been uploaded on major urban latin music websites.
Anyone that comes in contact with his music is instantly attached to his mellow and distinctive sound over modern urban rhythms. In 2008 he released "Gafa Oscura Vol1". Which is without a doubt one of the most innovative productions in the Latin Hip Hop scene. His music appeals to an audience of Latino's growing up in urban cities in America due to his real life stories elaborated in his music, and to anyone who enjoys good music. He is an upcoming artist with no limitations just a big dream to share with music to his people all around the world.
